INVITATION TO DINNER & TECHNICAL SEMINARS

WHO:              The Orange Empire ASHRAE dinner meeting is open to all engineering students and faculty, FREE!

 

WHAT:           ASHRAE is the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air conditioning Engineers.  The dinner is sponsored by companies and members through ASHRAE Orange Empire Chapter, to help student awareness and learn more about ASHRAE.

 

WHEN:          Normally the fourth Tuesday of every month, sometimes different date.

WHY:               Orange Empire Chapter of ASHRAE offers a way for students to meet potential employers in a relaxed, social atmosphere.  The seminars provide valuable information that can be useful in one's professional career.

SCHOLARSHIPS:      Orange Empire Chapter of ASHRAE invites applications for receiving $300 scholarships. The scholarships are awarded to four applications for best responses to the selected topic: "Describe one of your school projects or lessons learned that relates to the field of Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC&R)". Society News: ASHRAE Society’s Winter Conference will be in January of each year. On Sunday of the Winter Conference, the Student Activities Committee of ASHRAE will be conducting its annual breakfast gathering, providing a student panel discussion, networking with industry professionals and plant tour of an HVAC&R-related facility. Students from around the globe will be attending this meeting. ASHRAE student members can attend the society’s conference free of charge. Non-member’s registration fee is $15. The website also provides information regarding Student Activities Committee’s grants, Student Design Competition among other programs for the benefit of engineering students.
